#NABJ19 Call for Workshop Sessions

Want to be a part of the dynamic programming at #NABJ19?

The excitement is building for the upcoming #NABJ19 Convention & Career Fair to be held on Aug. 7-11 at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa.

We are officially opening our "Call for Proposals." We expect another healthy round of quality submissions designed to help our members excel in a very competitive environment. Excellence in journalism continues to be a critical component of our democracy through uncovering the truth and holding the powerful accountable. Quality training opportunities and an aptitude for the utilization of important investigative tools are paramount for improving our journalistic skills.

The submission deadline was extended to March 11 (6 pm PDT) and there are three ways to contribute to the #NABJ19 programming. The submission date will not be extended so please get your proposals in on time. We are expecting record attendance and trying to make sure your Convention experience is a rewarding one.
Submit a Complete Session Proposal - Log in HERE by using your NABJ membership credentials to submit your session proposal. During this process, you will be required to submit organizer and panelist/presenter contact information, provide the proposed session title and description, select a focus area, and acknowledge several disclaimers. Due to the anticipated high volume of submissions and limited space availability, NABJ members may submit one session proposal for consideration that explores the future of journalism and media. Please contact Vanessa L. Johnson-Evans at if you would like to submit more than one proposal.

Submit Panelist & Moderator Interest - If you are interested in being an NABJ panelist or moderator, please complete the NABJ19 Panelist & Moderator Consideration Form. Many times, we are asked to help identify panelists and moderators for planned sessions. We use this portal to identify potential candidates for the organizer's consideration.
Submit Programming Ideas - If you are a foundation, nonprofit organization, business, or an NABJ member and would like to submit a session idea or sponsor a session, please complete the NABJ19 Partner & Programming Ideas Form.

Please contact Vanessa L. Johnson-Evans, NABJ Program Manager at if you have any questions. We thank you for your interest and we are looking forward to your suggestions.
