By registering or applying for NABJ Convention & Career Fair participation, you agree to abide by all rules and requirements that may be in place now or later, which includes during the convention. You understand that refusal to adhere to rules and requirements may lead to immediate expulsion from NABJ events. You understand that rules are subject to change at NABJ's sole discretion.

REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

  • Registration confirmations will be emailed to the email used to register.
  • Pre-registration ends June 1, 2025. After this date, you must register at the on-site rates.
  • Cancellation Refund or transfer requests must be submitted HERE on or before June 1, 2025. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. No exceptions.
  • Professional Member/Non-Member/Exhibitor registration cancellations received on or before June 1, 2025, will be eligible for refund, less $125 administration fee ($35.00 for students).
  • To qualify for the NABJ Affiliate Chapter Member Discount, you must be a member in good standing with both NABJ and an NABJ Affiliate Chapter. If you are only a member of the affiliate chapter, you will be classified as a non-member registrant and should register accordingly.
  • Promo codes and discounts must be processed during registration to receive the discounted rate. No adjustments or refunds will be honored for such discounts after registration is completed.
  • Only registered attendees with a badge may attend convention events/activities. Registration credentials cannot be shared with others.
  • The lost badge fee is $200.
  • Some meal events will be ticketed. Tickets are not guaranteed unless selected and paid for on the registration form. When there is a meal event that is free not requiring a ticket such as a specific breakfast, seats are limited and entry will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Some events and activities require RSVPs, pre-event applications or invitations. Please review session information carefully for these detailsand visit our RSVP and Events page on NABJConvention.com for details and updates.
  • Underage drinking is not permitted at NABJ events. In addition, all convention attendees are subject to the rules of the NABJ Code of Conduct
  • No personal checks will be accepted for on-site registration.
  • The return check fee is $50 in addition to registration fees for checks submitted prior to onsite registration.
  • Refunds will be processed approximately four to six weeks after the convention.
  • The National Office is working remotely from a virtual office. All inquiries should be emailed to registration@nabj.org.

LOOKING FOR MEDIA ACCESS TO #NABJ25?

  • Courtesy media credentials are intended solely for individuals representing news organizations or media platforms to observe and cover the event. Otherwise, paid convention registration is required to participate in special events, meal functions, and sessions. If you plan to cover the event as media while also registering as an attendee, you must still submit a credentials application to ensure proper clearance.

  • All working media wishing to cover the NABJ Convention must be pre-approved and present both an official NABJ press pass and a confirmation email from the press team for event access.

  • Media passes cannot be obtained at the registration desk or exhibit hall and are non-transferable. Requests for media access will only be accepted online; in-person applications will not be accommodated onsite. A media credential application will be available here in the coming weeks.

  • Media representatives who arrive without approved documentation will be required to complete the approval process online before being granted access to the Convention space. For security purposes, only approved applicants will receive written instructions on how and where to pick up press credentials.

  • Corporate or organizational media teams, BTS crews, and production crew members working with approved partners and their talent to produce media content and coverage during the Convention must also apply for credentials. The press team will coordinate this process with partners directly. However, if crew members plan to participate in convention activities, they must also register separately.

  • To be notified when credential applications open, email press@nabj.org. Reminder: Credentials cannot be used for unauthorized purposes or as an alternative to paying for event access.

NOTIFICATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS
As media-centric organizations, all NABJ events are subject to being photographed, video/audio-recorded, screen-captured or live-streamed. Attendees, exhibitors, special guests, presenters, and partners of events may be captured via these formats. Full sessions and activities are subject to live-streaming and all such content is the sole property of NABJ to be used in any way NABJ determines to be appropriate.

In order to provide listed services and event access, NABJ may export your basic registration information to a secure convention vendor or partner (this includes name and email address but not financial or private information).
