COVID POLICY

NABJ members and convention attendees are strongly encouraged to have updated COVID vaccinations/boosters because proof of updated and current COVID vaccination/boosters may be required for entry into any and all sessions. By registering, you agree to abide by all rules and requirements that may be in place now or later, including during the convention. You understand that refusal to adhere to rules and requirements may lead to immediate expulsion with no refund for registration or any event and activation. NABJ recommends the wearing of masks while reserving the right to mandate masks at any time. You understand that rules are subject to change at NABJ's sole discretion. By registering for the convention, you understand that such gatherings may expose you to higher risks of contracting COVID and other viruses and that you accept that risk and do not hold NABJ liable for any adverse health conditions you or others may encounter.


NOTICE

The 2024 NABJ Convention and Career Fair will take place in the hotel directly across the street from the Lollapalooza music festival. Festival activities could be disruptive when commuting to and from NABJ activities due to street closures and the extremely high volume of people. Please plan on allowing significant time when commuting to and from the hotel and other venues. Additionally, crowd noise and loud music beyond our control may at times be heard and possibly be disruptive during some sessions and activities. Checking the box signifies your acknowledgement and acceptance of this notification and your understanding that no refunds will be given for registration or sponsored sessions/activities as a result of such potential disruptions.

REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

  • Registration confirmations will be emailed to the email used to register.
  • Pre-registration ends June 1, 2024. After this date, you must register at the onsite rates.
  • Cancellations/refund or transfer requests must be submitted HERE on or before June 1, 2024. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. No Exceptions.
  • Professional Member/Non-Member/Exhibitor registration cancellations received on or before June 1, 2024, will be eligible for refund, less $125 administration fee ($35.00 for students)
  • Promo codes and discounts must be processed during registration to receive the discounted rate. No adjustments or refunds will be honored for such discounts after registration is completed.
  • Only registered attendees with a badge may attend convention events/activities. Registration credentials cannot be shared with others.
  • Lost badge fee is $200.
  • Some meal events will be ticketed. Tickets are not guaranteed unless selected and paid for on the registration form. When there is a meal event that is free not requiring a ticket such as a specific breakfast, seats are limited and entry will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Underage drinking is not permitted at NABJ events. In addition, all convention attendees are subject to the rules of the NABJ Code of Conduct
  • No personal checks accepted for onsite registration.
  • Return check fee is $50 in addition to registration fees for checks submitted prior to onsite registration.
  • Refunds will be processed approximately four to six weeks after the convention.
  • The National Office is working remotely from a virtual office. All inquiries should be emailed to registration@nabj.org.

NOTIFICATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS
As media-centric organizations, all NABJ events are subject to being photographed, video/audio-recorded, screen-captured or live-streamed. Attendees, exhibitors, special guests, presenters, and partners of events may be captured via these formats. Full sessions and activities are subject to live-streaming and all such content is the sole property of NABJ to be used in any way NABJ determines to be appropriate.

 

In order to provide listed services and event access, NABJ may export your basic registration information to a secure convention vendor or partner (this includes name and email address but not financial or private information).
